ZEE Entertainment has announced a major broadcast expansion for the upcoming DP World International League T20 (ILT20), set to begin on 11th January 2025. Fans can enjoy live coverage across 15 TV channels and the OTT platform ZEE5, aiming to engage 230 million viewers in India.
Cricket enthusiasts can look forward to a month-long celebration of T20 cricket, with matches hosted in iconic UAE locations including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. The tournament features an impressive line-up of players such as David Warner, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell, promising an electrifying experience for audiences.
Ashish Sehgal, Chief Growth Officer - Digital & Broadcast Revenue at ZEE Entertainment, expressed enthusiasm for the tournament, stating, “ZEE is delighted to present the third season of DP World ILT20, aiming to elevate the cricket carnival experience and cementing the league’s status as the second most watched T20 cricket league globally.”
The broadcast will include channels specifically tailored for South Indian audiences, enhancing regional engagement and promoting diverse language options. The ILT20, which attracted 348 million unique viewers globally last season, continues to grow its appeal, with a notable share of 46% female viewership and 55% youth engagement in India.
As the franchise-style tournament features six teams, including Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and MI Emirates, ZEE Entertainment is poised to deliver an unforgettable cricket experience to fans worldwide.
