WhatsApp has collaborated with Only Much Louder (OML) to launch a consumer education initiative centred on the importance of privacy in digital communications. The campaign, titled #MessagePrivately, features the WhatsApp GoodMornings social series, showcasing popular comedians Zakir Khan, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Aakash Gupta, and Gurleen Pannu.
The series aims to educate audiences about WhatsApp’s privacy features while promoting meaningful connections. Each comedian shares relatable experiences about receiving "Good Morning" messages, cleverly highlighting the platform's privacy capabilities.
This partnership leverages humour to engage younger audiences, creating content that is both entertaining and informative. The comedians address various privacy features, including how to block spam callers and enable two-step verification.
Vyom Prashant, Director, Consumer Marketing at Meta, stated, “Privacy is at the core of WhatsApp. We have added layers of security over the years, empowering our users to communicate securely. This series builds upon the familiar concept of ‘Good Morning’ messages, using humour to explain how to protect oneself from spam.”
Pankaj Malani, SVP Revenue at OML, added, “Our aim was to elevate the conversation about WhatsApp’s user protections while blending humour with purpose. Each narrative was crafted to resonate with audiences, highlighting the intimacy of ‘Good Morning’ messages while underscoring the role of privacy in digital interactions.”
This collaboration not only showcases WhatsApp’s privacy features but also reinforces the importance of authentic communication in a secure environment. The series serves as a reminder of the joy and support that comes with daily interactions, transforming ordinary mornings into meaningful connections.
