OML Entertainment has announced the appointment of Tusharr Kumar as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. Kumar, who has been with OML since 2012, steps into the role following the successful tenure of Gunjan Arya, who is departing after a noteworthy nine years as CEO.
During Arya's leadership, OML Entertainment emerged as a leading force in digital media and entertainment. Under her stewardship, the company expanded its international presence to 20 countries, spun out two successful businesses, and launched Hypothesis, a global influencer marketing tech platform. Arya expressed confidence in Kumar's ability to lead OML into its next phase of growth, praising his extensive knowledge of the content and creator landscape and his strategic vision.
Kumar, previously the Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2021, has overseen significant operational initiatives and strengthened OML's position in the branded content, advertising, and entertainment sectors. With a diverse background in new media, automotive, and FMCG industries, including roles at Ducati, Royal Enfield, and Parle-Agro, Kumar is well-equipped to drive the company's future success.
In his new role, Kumar will focus on expanding OML's key business areas, including advertising, branded content, and long-form content production. The company also aims to enhance its global influencer marketing platform, Hypothesis. Kumar expressed his enthusiasm for the future, emphasising the importance of creativity and cultural innovation in driving OML's mission.
