Pidilite Industries has announced the fifth edition of its science-based crafting contest, Fevicreate Idea Labs, through its art and craft platform, Fevicreate. The initiative aims to engage and inspire young minds, encouraging creativity and innovation among students. The entry window for the 2024 edition closes on October 20, 2024.
The theme for this year, “Wonders of Nature: Using Recycled Materials,” invites students from Classes 1-4 and 5-8 to explore the intersections of art, science, and sustainability by creating projects with recycled materials. This year’s competition aims to surpass the previous participation, which saw around 2.5 lakh students from 1,500 schools across India engaged in creative projects.
Last year's finale was a milestone, held in Mumbai with Shri Mylswamy Annadurai, a renowned Indian space scientist and former ISRO Chief Director, serving as the chief jury member. The event was also televised for the first time, airing on Nickelodeon and Sonic.
Mr. Kashyap Gala, Senior Vice President of Consumer Products Business at Pidilite Industries, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season. He stated, “Our objective at Fevicreate is to wholeheartedly support the concept of learning by doing. School boards and NEP guidelines advocate for Art-Integrated Learning, emphasising that more learning should take place through art and craft. Therefore, Fevicreate Idea Labs is not just a competition; it’s a way to inspire students to explore science and learn through art while inculcating sustainability and care for the environment among students. After having scaled up our competition last year, we are looking forward to an even grander finale this year.”
Participants can register via www.fevicreate.com, and winners will receive cash prizes of INR 1 Lakh, 75,000, and 50,000 for the first, second, and third positions, respectively.
