Nykaa, India’s leading beauty and fashion retailer, has announced the appointment of Sukhleen Aneja as Senior Vice President and Business Head for Kay Beauty, Nykaa’s inaugural celebrity beauty brand in collaboration with Katrina Kaif. This move has been aimed at driving Kay Beauty’s expansion in international markets following its successful launch in India. Sukhleen Aneja has also taken on responsibility for Nyveda, an Ayurveda-based brand with global appeal, and will provide strategic direction for several emerging wellness and personal care brands.
Sukhleen Aneja has brought over two decades of extensive sales and marketing experience from Fortune 500 companies such as Unilever, L’Oreal, and Reckitt Benckiser. Most recently, she has served as the CEO of Brands at Good Glamm. Her career has been marked by a proven ability to scale brands through strategic roadmaps, innovation, and business transformation, positioning her well for success at Nykaa.
Launched in 2019, Kay Beauty is India’s first celebrity makeup brand, co-created by Nykaa and Katrina Kaif. The brand has achieved record sales exceeding Rs 150 crore annually and is distributed across more than 150 Nykaa stores and over 450 selective beauty retail outlets in India. Katrina Kaif has worked closely with Nykaa’s innovation team to develop a makeup collection featuring nourishing 'kare' ingredients that deliver a long-lasting, high-performance finish. Kay Beauty has been celebrated for its inclusivity and trendsetting products, including the highly successful Hydra Creme lipstick range. The brand's inclusive Kay Community, with 1.5 million followers on Instagram, has reinforced the message #ItsKayToBeYou.
