The Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) is excited to announce a partnership with Soho House Mumbai as the Community Partner for the upcoming MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024, scheduled from October 19 to 24, 2024.
This year's festival will feature a robust Industry Programme at Soho House, focusing on panels and screenings designed to foster creative dialogue among filmmakers and industry experts. Planned from October 21 to 23, 2024, the programme aims to celebrate both Indian and global cinema within a vibrant cultural setting.
Attendees can look forward to discussions on topics shaping the future of cinema, including independent film distribution strategies, enhancing production values, and the transformative role of artificial intelligence in media and entertainment. Additional sessions will explore innovative approaches to audience engagement, effective co-production strategies, and sustainable filmmaking practices, all aimed at sparking constructive conversations about the evolving film industry landscape.
Films screened at Soho House Mumbai will be showcased in their exclusive screening room, featuring the complete selection of the South Asia Competition. This includes works by internationally acclaimed independent filmmakers across various genres such as fiction, documentary, and animation.
