Leica India, the premium cameras and sports optics brand, recently held an exclusive event at Taj Lands End, Bandra, to introduce Chef Ranveer Brar as its new brand ambassador and unveil the Leica Q3 43, the latest addition to its esteemed portfolio.
The event was attended by notable personalities including Ms. Latika Nath, Ashraf Abbas, Amit Asher, Larissa D’sa, Siddharth Kerkar, and Sooni Taraporevala, celebrating Leica's renowned craftsmanship.
The evening’s highlight was the unveiling of Chef Ranveer Brar as the face of Leica. The brand aligns naturally with Brar, whose creative expertise extends beyond culinary arts to visual storytelling. His partnership with Leica aims to inspire audiences to appreciate authenticity in both cooking and photography, encouraging them to capture life's most iconic moments with unparalleled precision.
In addition to Brar’s introduction, the event showcased the Leica Q3 43, a state-of-the-art camera priced at Rs 6,55,000. The Q3 features the specially developed APO-Summicron 43 f/2 ASPH. lens, known for its exceptional image quality and ability to reflect natural human perception. This latest model stands out with its elegant grey leather finish contrasting against the black body, while maintaining a compact design, making it an ideal choice for photographers seeking style and functionality.
Chef Ranveer Brar, commenting on his collaboration with Leica, said, “One may not realise it, but culinary and visual arts share an intrinsic quality—both are means of telling stories and preserving the essence of one's experiences. My journey with Leica is as old as my fascination with visual storytelling. I am thrilled to partner with a brand that shares my creative vision!”
Sunil Kaul, Managing Director at Leica Camera Asia Pacific, added, “In a culturally rich country like India, we wanted to connect with audiences through a language they know best—food. Chef Ranveer’s attention to detail mirrors the craftsmanship behind our products. We are excited to partner with him and further our commitment to advancing photography in India.”
The event also marked a significant milestone in Leica's mission to foster a global community of visual artists. With its 43mm focal length, the Q3 43 captures moments as seen by the human eye, preserving authenticity and emotion in every shot.
Leica’s entry into India has been facilitated by FCE Lifestyles Pvt Ltd, which manages Leica’s operations in the region. The Leica Store India, located in Connaught Place, New Delhi, serves as a hub for photography enthusiasts, offering an exceptional experience beyond retail.
