Jindal Stainless, India's largest stainless-steel manufacturer, has released a song to mark Independence Day, celebrating India’s progressive spirit. The original composition, performed by students from Vidya Devi Jindal School and O P Jindal Modern School in Hisar, Haryana, reflects the pride of being Indian and envisions a nation built on unity, innovation, and resilience.
Ms Sonal Singh, Head of Corporate Communications at Jindal Stainless, commented, “This video honours India’s diversity and its pursuit of growth, symbolised by our commitment to a corrosion-free nation. The song embodies values of determination and progress, central to both Jindal Stainless and India's success stories. It’s a tribute to the dedication and innovative spirit of all Indians, contributing to the nation’s achievements.”
Founded in 1970, Jindal Stainless aimed to achieve self-reliance in stainless steel production by reducing imports. Since then, the company has expanded the metal’s applications beyond kitchenware, significantly boosting India’s consumption from 0.25 million tonnes in the 1990s to over 4 million tonnes today.
The song, featuring both students and Jindal Stainless employees, is a nod to India's swadeshi vision. As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, Jindal Stainless highlights the values integral to its success and its role in the nation's growth.
