Dusaan, a pioneering e-retailer revolutionising home design, has announced its collaboration with Salaam Baalak Trust this festive season. This partnership aims to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children by directing a portion of sales from Dusaan’s Har Ghar Tyohaar campaign to support the Trust’s essential services.
The Har Ghar Tyohaar campaign was launched with the understanding that while many homes will be filled with warmth and joy, numerous others will lack such experiences. Dusaan recognised the need to extend the spirit of celebration to those often overlooked. By teaming up with Salaam Baalak Trust, which operates seven shelter homes in Delhi, Dusaan seeks to bring hope and joy to the 350 children living in these homes and an additional 300-350 children receiving daycare services.
Simran Kohli, Founder of Dusaan, stated, “We started Dusaan with a goal to transform Indian homes for the better. The minute I heard the campaign name—Har Ghar Tyohaar—I knew we had to do more. This partnership is the most exciting aspect of our entire Festive Campaign! We are humbled to utilise our position as India’s favourite home décor destination to share light in homes that need it the most. Every purchase from Dusaan contributes towards vital resources for these shelter homes, including food, electricity, notebooks, clothes, and more. We’re proud to support Salaam Baalak Trust in providing a safe space for many children in need.”
Tanya Alag, Head of Resource Mobilisation at Salaam Baalak Trust, commented, “Dusaan's commitment to excellence and social responsibility aligns perfectly with our mission. Their extensive range of home products and dedication to helping our shelter homes will enable us to create welcoming spaces for the children we support. We are excited to work together, leveraging Dusaan's expertise to make a positive difference in the lives of street and working children.”
Founded in 1988 and inspired by the film Salaam Bombay, Salaam Baalak Trust has addressed the challenges faced by street and working children across Delhi NCR. Over its lifetime, the Trust has provided shelter and support to more than 38,000 children, focusing on rehabilitation and empowerment through essential services such as healthcare, education, and vocational training.
As the festive season approaches, including Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra, Dhanteras, and Diwali, Dusaan invites everyone to join this noble cause. By choosing products from the Har Ghar Tyohaar collection, customers can contribute to a brighter future for those in need, ensuring every child experiences the joy of celebration. This collaboration exemplifies Dusaan's commitment to social responsibility and highlights the importance of community support during festive times.
