Dr. Annurag Batra, Founder of exchange4media and Chairman & Editor-in-Chief of BW Businessworld, hosted the semi-final judging round for the International Emmy Awards 2024 in New Delhi on August 18, 2024.
Dr. Batra, recently elected to the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS), known as the Emmys, now joins an elite group of over 900 members from more than 60 countries. This prestigious membership highlights his influence in global television and media.
Established in 1969, IATAS is a renowned US-based non-profit organisation that celebrates excellence in television production worldwide. The International Emmy Awards, presented by IATAS, are highly esteemed and cover 17 categories.
In New Delhi, Dr. Batra led a distinguished panel of jurors, including Savitaraj Hiremath, Founder & CEO of Tandavfilms Entertainment Pvt Ltd; Mrinalini Jain, Group Chief Development Officer at Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India; Rintu Thomas, Director-Producer; Brij Bakshi, Former Director of Doordarshan; Kapil Batra, Filmmaker; Pankaj Saxena, Artistic Director at NFDC; Dr. Bhuvan Lall, Creative Entrepreneur, Filmmaker & Author; Chandramouli Basu, Director-Producer; and Sudhir Tandon, Former Additional Director General of Doordarshan. Nathaniel Brendel, Senior Director of Emmy Judging, also attended.
The semi-final round featured a showcase of global television content, with winners advancing to the grand gala event in New York on 25 November 2024. The final International Emmy Awards will be presented at this highly anticipated ceremony.
